Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully. They apply when you use our services, book an appointment, or have work carried out on your vehicle.

Last updated: 7 April 2026

1. Our Services

Doyen Auto Services provides vehicle repairs, servicing, MOT testing, diagnostics, ECU remapping, key programming, and related automotive services from our workshop at 59 Southcroft Road, Rutherglen, Glasgow G73 1SP. These terms apply to all work carried out by us, whether booked online, by phone, or in person.

2. Booking Terms

  • Appointments can be booked online through our website, by phone, or in person.
  • A booking confirmation will be sent by email. This confirms the date, time, and type of service requested.
  • We aim to confirm or contact you within 1 hour of an online booking during business hours.
  • We may need to adjust appointment times based on workshop availability. We will always contact you first.
  • By making a booking, you confirm that you are authorised to have work carried out on the vehicle.

3. Cancellation Policy

We understand plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ noticebefore your appointment. This allows us to offer the slot to another customer. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee at our discretion. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to book future appointments.

4. Quotes and Estimates

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • A quote is an estimate based on the information available at the time. If additional work is found during inspection, we will contact you for approval before proceeding.
  • We will not carry out additional work without your prior consent.
  • All prices include VAT at the current rate (20%) unless stated otherwise.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due on collection of your vehicle unless credit terms have been agreed in writing.
  • For invoiced work, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.
  • We accept payment by cash, debit card, credit card, and bank transfer.
  • Card payments are processed securely through Stripe.
  • We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at the statutory rate.
  • We exercise a lien on your vehicle — the vehicle will not be released until all outstanding charges are paid in full.

6. Warranties

  • All labour and repairs carried out by us are guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, unless otherwise stated.
  • Parts fitted by us carry the manufacturer’s warranty. We will assist with any warranty claims.
  • Our warranty does not cover faults caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or modifications made after our work was completed.
  • MOT test results are valid for 12 months as per DVSA regulations. An MOT pass does not guarantee the ongoing condition of the vehicle.
  • ECU remapping work is covered by our own specific warranty terms, which will be explained at the time of service.

7. Liability

  • We carry full motor trade insurance and public liability insurance.
  • Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. We are not liable for consequential losses (such as loss of earnings or vehicle hire costs) except where required by law.
  • Vehicles are left at our premises at the owner’s risk. While we take reasonable care of all vehicles, we are not responsible for pre-existing damage or wear and tear.
  • We recommend removing personal valuables from your vehicle before dropping it off.

8. Vehicle Collection

  • We will notify you when your vehicle is ready for collection by phone, email, or SMS.
  • Vehicles should be collected within 3 working days of notification. After this period, a storage fee of £10 per day may apply.
  • If a vehicle is not collected within 28 days and we are unable to contact you, we reserve the right to dispose of the vehicle in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.

9. Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For full details about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any work or service, please contact us as soon as possible. We take all complaints seriously and aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly. Contact us at info@doyenautos.co.uk or call 0141 482 0726.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
